Gyeongju of Old

Halfway through our temple stay at Golgulsa, we got to take a day trip out to see some historic sights in the area. It was super fun. We were sleepy. I took pictures. ANd I don't have much to say about it, beyond the pictures. LAZY BLOGGER.

We trekked up to a another mountain temple called Girimsa.

The stacked stones are Buddhist prayers.

It looked unlike any other temple I've seen. Rocks and walls everywhere.

Representation of Buddhism main disciples, tucked away in another gorgeous building.

Just...gorgeous.

Ugh, just shut up, Scenery.

That is one majestic bell.

Sleepy faces. ^^
Then we traveled to the next location, these super ancient pagodas. They are all that remained of this ancient temple/fortress that used to stand there.

I don't know, I think photos like these are funny. I am eternally seven years old.
Then we went to "the only underground burial site in the world". There was this king who decided he was going to come back as a dragon to defend Korea, so he had his ashes interred (or scattered, no one remembers) in the sea so he could come back in dragon form. HE HAD A FINAL BOSS STAGE ALL HIS OWN.

There he is. Over there! Ellie and I sat on this beach and played with rocks for quite some time.
